Hello Parents and Students,
This last week has been hard on several of our families and staff members due to the wildfire. We continue to pray for those affected by the Ross Fire. We are grateful for STUCO and Key Club for helping gather supplies for our first responders that continue to battle the wildfire.
This past week we hosted Curriculum Night and we are grateful to those families that came. This last week we also had an opportunity to host volleyball and football games and our first pep rally of the year. Thank you to Blue Crew for organizing and running it.
This next week is a short week since we have Friday off for a 4-day Labor Day Weekend. On Tuesday, we have pictures for all 9-11th graders and on Wednesday we have our Lockdown Drill. Athletics are in full swing now as we have tennis at Glen Rose, cross country at Burkburnett, football at Eagle Mountain and one home volleyball game on Tuesday.
As a reminder to parents and students, September 18th is the end of the first 6 weeks, which means students can gain or lose UIL eligibility. Students, please make sure to get work completed on time and see teachers for help if you need it. Teachers in every department offer tutorials before and after school, so please make sure you get help!
Let's have a great week Steers and Lady Blues!
Committed to Excellence,
Adam Anderson
