Steers Family Newsletter

May 10, 2026
Adam Anderson, Principal of Graham High School

Principal's Corner

Hello Parents and Community,

I hope that each of you was able to enjoy Mother's Day and celebrate the women in your life that have had a deep impact on you. I am also grateful for this last week where we were able to celebrate our teachers during teacher appreciation week. Thanks to each of the families, businesses, and churches that donated food, gifts, and time to help make this week special for all of our teachers. I truly appreciate the sacrifice of everyone. This past week was also Nurse Appreciation Day. I am grateful for the hard work of our Nurse Aide, Jessica Groves, and all she does for the students on our campus!

We have two more weeks of school left and it is important for students to stay focused and on top of their school work and their final exams. Exemption forms can be found in the front office if a student wants to exempt a final exam and meets the criteria. Student Chromebooks will be turned in this week (unless they have AP exams). Seniors and senior parents, please make sure all fines are paid prior to graduation. All other students, please make sure your technology and library fines are getting paid. Payment plans can be set up if you cannot pay all at once. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

I look forward to another great week at GHS!

Respectfully,

Adam Anderson
Principal

New Spanish Teacher at GHS!

Please join us in welcoming Alicia Olvera as our new Spanish Teacher. A little about her:

My name is Alicia Olvera and I am very excited to join the Graham High School team.  I graduated from Midwestern University in 2021 and have been teaching 1st Grade at Crestview Elementary since 2022.
I attended Graham High School myself and am looking forward to return as an Educator. My life in Graham ISD was shaped by great educators who inspired me to dream big and I hope to have that same kind of impact in my students’ lives. My faith in Jesus is what motivates me to love my students. I love watching them grow and helping them discover the unique talents and qualities they have to share with the world. I will miss my first grade team but I am looking forward to this new chapter!
