Hello Parents and Community,
I am excited to welcome everyone back to school tomorrow! I missed seeing students on campus and checking in with them, and I know our teachers missed them as well. I am happy that it has warmed up and cleared the roads so that we are able to get back to learning. I speak for all of our teachers when I say we are excited to welcome our students back tomorrow. Our teachers are great and will help get students back on track after missing a week of school.
I had the opportunity to see our theater department put on the musical production, "Disneys High School Musical, Jr." We have incredibly talented students and I am grateful for all the hard work and preparation they put into the show. They did an amazing job. I also want to thank Kay Berru, the theater teacher, for all of her hard work and time she put into this show. If you have not seen it yet, I hope you are able to attend the last show tomorrow, February 2nd, at 7pm.
As we go into the month of February, this tends to be a harder time for students. It's colder and in general they're spending less time outside, students are working hard in the classroom, and they're preparing for all the testing coming up in April. It is stressful and tiring. This is a time of year that behaviors at school and absences tend to increase. I encourage you to remind your student about general expectations at school. I also encourage you help your student be present in school. The more they miss, the further behind they get and the harder it is to catch up. I truly love seeing each and every one of our students at school and know that it is the best and safest place they can be during the school day.
I wish every one of you a great week ahead!
Respectfully,
Adam Anderson
