Hello Parents and Community,

Thank you for your incredible support at our Veterans Day program last week. It was a meaningful opportunity to honor the brave men and women who have served our country, and your presence truly elevated the ceremony.

Thank you to our community and students who helped donate 3 trailers worth of food to our community!

I also want to celebrate the success of our Varsity Steers! Thank you to everyone who came out to support them on Friday night. Their 32-0 victory was great to watch and highlightes their hard work and dedication in preparing for Godley. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and are excited to see them move on to play again this week against Lubbock Cooper Liberty.

This week, we will be hosting another FAFSA Night in partnership with Café con Leche and MSU. This is a great opportunity to get personalized assistance with the FAFSA Application.

With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching next week, I encourage everyone to take time to be grateful for all that you have and for your loved ones. This season is also a wonderful opportunity to look outward and support those around us who are less fortunate. I encourage you to find ways to help or lift others during this time of fellowship and giving, whether it is through church, home, family, or elsewhere. Let's work together to help those in need here in our community and share love and joy to all we meet.

As a reminder, we will have a fire drill in the next two weeks.

In response to student input from last year of wanting more Lockdown Drills, and at the recommendation of local law enforcement, we will be holding a second Lockdown Drill before the end of the semester. I will make sure to notify parents the week that we will be holding the drill. After the drill, we will notify parents as well so that you are aware that it occurred.
