Hello Parents and Community,
As the principal of Graham High School, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic week we've had and share some of the highlights with you.
We had a wonderful Constitution Day celebration with the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). It was a special honor to see Veyounka Aranda be announced as the winner of their scholarship. She was selected by her Senior class peers for being a model of good citizenship. We're all incredibly proud of her accomplishments and commitment to being a good citizen at GHS and in the community.
Our students continue to excel in so many areas. Last week, we were proud to host the All-Region Band. Additionally, our students selected for Youth Lead met on Friday, even though it was a student holiday. It was a great session where they had an in-depth discussion about leadership and how their unique personalities will shape their leadership roles. Dr. Johnston and I were excited to be working and learning alongside them.
I spent time visiting classrooms last week, and it was truly inspiring to see the dedication of our teachers. Their commitment to reflecting on their teaching practices to continually improve for the benefit of our students is a testament to their professionalism and passion. The level of engagement between our teachers and students in their learning was truly wonderful to see.
I'll be sending out the link for this Friday's pep rally tomorrow evening. I am just waiting on one last detail to make sure our systems are working.
Thank you for your continued support and for being such a vital part of the Graham High School community.
Respectfully,
Adam Anderson
GHS Principal
