I began working for GISD in 2018 as a substitute teacher and then later that year as a paraprofessional, while as I worked on my teaching certificate for Science. I began teaching Astronomy in January of 2020 and will be teaching Astronomy, Physics and AP Physics this fall.

From 2002-2012, I worked coaching kids from ages 18 months all the way through 18 years old with gymnastics and competitive cheerleading with North Texas Gym Academy. I loved being able to watch the kids’ self-esteem grow as they became more self-confident. With working here for the last 2 years I have been able to watch many of the kids graduate and go on to college.

My husband and I currently have three children, two daughters and a son. They are currently spread out between Crestview, Woodland and Graham Jr High. My household often feels like a zoo between the kids and our pets- a dog, a cat, 2 fish and a guinea pig.

 When I’m not teaching, you can find me working (attempting anyway) on DIY projects around our home, playing with my kids, taking trips with the family, at the soccer fields with my kids or visiting with friends and other family. My family and I enjoy camping, hiking, tubing down a river, swimming and 4-wheeling (mostly in Arkansas) when we have time.
