A surface dryline will move into western North Texas Thursday morning with breezy south and southwest winds across the area. A strong surface low pressure system and cold front will then move across the area through the day with falling afternoon temperatures behind the cold front across western North Texas during the afternoon and evening hours. A vigorous upper low disturbance will be lagging west behind this system. Though temperatures should remain at or just above freezing, the rain mixing with wet snow, or possibly transitioning Thursday night and early Friday to brief bursts of all wet snow will likely cause impacts across the Winter Storm Watch area.
